Getting the surface right before the finish goes down
An uneven subfloor affects both the appearance and performance of the finished flooring. For products such as Luxury Vinyl Tiles, safety flooring and Marmoleum, even minor imperfections in the substrate can become visible once the finish is installed. Where necessary, we use professional smoothing and levelling compounds to create the appropriate surface - identifying these requirements before installation begins, rather than trying to resolve them once the finished flooring is being laid.

Excessive moisture within a subfloor can cause significant problems for commercial flooring installations. If moisture levels aren't identified before installation, they can affect adhesives, smoothing compounds and the finished floor covering. Where required, our team carries out moisture assessments before installation to determine whether additional preparation is necessary. If conditions require it, an appropriate damp proof membrane (DPM) is incorporated into the preparation system - giving an extra layer of protection and the correct conditions for the flooring above.
